Here is a patio that we have completed in the Bristol area. Existing patio area was removed. New widened areas were inserted by digging out sections of the lawn to give depth and shape. New type 1 sub base installed. Membrane sheeting to prevent weed growth was installed. Indian sandstone 3 sized flagstones were installed on a wet mortar bed. Standard flexible jointing was used.
